October Roundup and Monthly Musings
A new milestone; half term guilt; building lead magnets with AI; free coaching; and strawberries (but not at the same time 😆)
Welcome to monthly musings! This is a once per month email (not my usual programming), where I share random things that have tickled my fancy over the past four weeks. Some will be related to the content of this newsletter, and others…well…won’t be.
Hope you enjoy a little glimpse into my world!
Hello friends!
Welcome to this month’s roundup and musings.
We’re now 1000 strong!
We’ve grown our community to 1000 members which makes me speechless. Never in a million years did I think I’d be sending this email to a 1000 people each week.
Thank you to each of you for being here, it brings me immense joy to be able to write to you all each week. I hope that you’re still enjoying my posts. I’d love to hear what you think of them (good or bad), so please reach out to let me know! If you haven’t seen any of my other posts in a while, please check your junk/spam folders.
Half term guilt
Most of the month I’ve focused on my children. It has been half term for 1-2 weeks here in the UK and I have really struggled with the guilt of wanting to work on my business verses spend quality time with my children.
I get a lot of pleasure from both, so I was stuck in what felt like a perpetual cycle of decisions, guilt, decisions, guilt.
In the end, I opted to not care about business/work/writing for a couple of weeks and just focus solely on maximizing every moment I could get with my babies.
Soon they won’t be babies anymore. There will always be opportunities to work, but these moments with the children are gone forever.
Building a lead magnet with AI
This month, I managed to get one hour during Blueberry’s nap time to play with ChatGPT.
I used the hour to create a small lead magnet - a productivity quiz.
If you’re growing your business and want to create a lead magnet to get people interested in your work and onto your email list, I highly recommend using ChatGPT for it!
I didn’t have much time to put a lot of my own thoughts into the quiz, so I let GPT do most of the work, and it’s by no means perfect in anyway, but it was a good first attempt.
My next attempt (for when I have longer than an hour to myself) will be to create a more in-depth scorecard. I’m not sure how possible this will be, but if I manage it, I’ll let you know.
You can see the 20 second quiz here to find out your personalized productivity type and suggested hacks!
I’m a big picture visionary type (aka Dreamer – so true), if you take the quiz, let me know your type!
I’m offering free coaching to 4 people.
As I have now got a bit of time on my hands, I’d like to offer 3 people (one slot already taken) my complete and undivided attention to help them with challenges they face related to:
getting things done
balancing work and personal life
managing time better
anything else business and AI related.
In short bursts, over the course of a month or so (however long it takes), we can work together to analyse your current ways of working/living and I can suggest different tools to help you free up physical time in your week.
These tools can easily get you 2-3 hours back in your week if you follow them as I suggest.
The coaching will be completely FREE, on the proviso that:
You use the tools I share with you.
You give me feedback.
You write me a killer review if you think it deserves it.
That’s it! Let me know if you’d like to take up one of my free coaching slots this month by sending me an email to: selda@processthink.co.uk
Did you know one cup of strawberries a day can boost stem cell production?
Some of you may know by now that I love food and all things health related.
I’ve just recently listened to a podcast episode #485 on the Dr Chatterjee Podcast Feel Better, Live More, with Dr William Li on how to use food to heal your body.
It was fascinating. So interesting to hear the latest in brain and blood vessel research and how various foods can help to rebuild our bodies. Check it out.
What’s your view on these monthly musing posts?
I started the monthly musings articles (like the one you’re reading) in May and I’d like to know what you think of them and whether to change the content.
For those who are new to the community, these posts are a roundup of the articles I’ve written over the past month and any other things I’ve seen/done that might be useful, as well as a little glimpse into my world.
What kind of content would you like to see in these emails going forwards?
In case you missed it, this month we were talking about:
How to make overwhelm obsolete with this simple skill.
Stuck in analysis paralysis? Unlock the way to clarity.
Make yourself curve-ball proof with this easy strategy.
A workplace full of obnoxious people vaporizes your productivity.
Have a wonderful November everyone.
