Thanks so much JFT! Really appreciate it. Making an impact is a nice thing to desire. Maybe we already have made worthwhile impacts on some people out there, we just don’t know it yet. Thanks for reading, sharing and commenting.
Thank You, Writing is a release and very freeing and brings out one’s creativity . To be able to make a living doing it would be very challenging for me
Short people consume great amounts of love and energy it’s always a balancing act
Hi Selda—thank you for this. I’m just a month into my Substack journey, and reading this felt like having a big-sister-in-writing pull back the curtain with honesty and grace.
So much of what you said resonated—especially the part about writing in the margins, not for clout, but to stay connected to something real. It’s both comforting and grounding to know that even seasoned writers experience the same questions and fluctuations in energy, time, and engagement.
This line will stay with me: “Create something that feeds us.” That’s exactly what I needed to hear today.
Keep it at Selda - I enjoy your writing and style...I'm like you limited time and would like more impact...but I do enjoy writing.

Be Great to yourself
Thank you Teddi. It’s nice to have the empathy. You’re right it does require a lot of energy especially to generate a full time income from.
