Hey Selda!

I like the idea of playing with a problem. I’ve found recent success by just assigning less importance to certain issues, allowing me to approach with a more open and creative mind.

How does the magnitude of the end goal matter when starting from it? If it’s a goal years away compared to a short-term goal, does this affect the way you approach it?

What a great question Rasmus!

The size of the goal doesn't really matter, but obviously the further out in timeframe it is, the bigger, wilder and more innovative you can be with it! Which makes it even more fun to think about.

Nevertheless, you can still have great fun thinking about the end state of a goal that is only a year away.

I think it was Bill Gates that said people overestimate what they can do in one year, and underestimate what they can do in ten years.

Hi Selda, love the approach of beginning with the end in mind AND how doing so opens your creativity up. It also avoids you micromanaging the process of arrival at your goal. I am also trying to implement visualizing the end state, I think that helps me stay focused and motivated on the task at hand. Another very helpful article, thank you!
